The age of Youssoufa Moukoko, one of Borussia Dortmund’s great jewels at allegedly 18 years old, is becoming a subject of controversy in Germany. Today the Bunte newspaper published a birth certificate according to which Moukoko was actually born on July 19, 2000. In other words, at this time he would be 22 years old and not 18. The striker tried to prevent the document to be published, but he did not get it.
The document in question has the number 4621/2000 and was issued in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, in the name of “Youssoufa Mohamadou”. Apparently, the magazine found the birth certificate while going through Moukoko’s resume.
However, it is not clear whether the copy of the birth certificate is authentic. If so, this means that the German international is 4 years older than he declared.
On the other hand, and always according to Bunte, Moukoko’s parents may also be different. In the document, Ousman Mohamadou (taxi driver) and Youssoufa Harira (housewife) are listed as the player’s parents. In court, Joseph Moukoko, who lives with Youssoufa Moukoko in Germany, said he is the biological father of the Borussia Dortmund striker.
