Baraja: “We found the meaning that was missing to decide the game”

Date:

Ruben Barajahe taught after the victory over the Osasuna (1-0) now they found the meaning missing in the last meters to decide the match.

“We managed to take the game to where we were interested, it was very competitive against a good opponent. The team was consistent, we had intensity, we had a clean sheet and we knew how to sleep game to close it. We had three or four good chances to close the game which would have given us more peace of mind, but I am very happy for my players and for the fans”, he said.

On the other hand, Baraja expressed about the rival that “Osasuna is a good rival that demands a lot from you in double action and contention. We know how to reduce it and take advantage of our virtues. I’m happy overall.”

Regarding the arbitration and a possible penalty for Samu Lino, the Valencian coach said that “we cannot enter into the assessment of the situations that they have to interpret from the VAR. This is pure interpretation and we can do nothing more”.

“We must put our energy into what is really important, if we focus our energy on the game, we will be closer to competing and winning matches. We haven’t thought about anything (to get out of the relegation places), we have to continue on our way. You have to push, work, be consistent to try to compete in every game,” he added.

Finally, the Valencia coach was upset that the team did not enter the bus at Avenida de Suecia. “We cannot afford not to enter through Avenida de Suecia, because when the fans welcome us, we will enter like a cannon. For me, it is important that the players feel what it means to enter the Mestalla surrounded by your people”, he concluded.
