Osasuna was not satisfied with the explanations given by Royal Spanish Federation and the Technical Committee of Referees about impermissible purposes abde of course offside on matchday 24 against Celtic. In a statement made public on Monday, the entity considers them inaccurate and inadequate.
“They do not satisfy us because they do not answer the three main questions in this matter: Were the offside lines drawn correctly in said action? Did the image broadcast on television prompt the referee’s decision. VAR? He Technical Committee of Referees Do you consider that the references used to draw the offside lines were taken correctly?”, he commented in the aforementioned letter.
Osasuna considering that the image of VAR “does not in any way prove the alleged irregular position of Chimy Avila“, so he wanted to clarify “if there was a serious mistake in the use of technology”.
