Date:

Jorge Sampaoli he is no longer a coach Seville after the Andalusian club made his dismissal official. The Argentine coach will be replaced by Jose Luis Mendilibar and he has said goodbye to the club and the fans through a letter published on his social networks.

In it, Casilda’s coach assured that he will leave “with his head held high”, acknowledging that things happened that prevented him from achieving the goal set but remembering that the team is still alive in Europe and that this became “very strong” in Nervión .

“I had to say goodbye to a city and some colors that I carry in my heart. When they called me back, I thought it was a good option to close a first phase that, somehow, was left open. Sevilla is the first team in my career where I tried the second time. And I can prove that, despite the fact that the circumstances are different, my love for this shield is unbroken and continues to be great. I will leave with the head held high because of the attitude all the time, because we are in the quarterfinals of the Europa League and because we are putting a lot of effort to promote this story!, he explained in his statement.

Sampaoli he also left thanking the club’s players and employees for their dedication. “Football does not always give us back with joy the insomnia we devote to it. But I have no doubt that it is worth sacrificing and putting my heart on this shield. I want to thank the players and every employee of the club for joining us. I have no doubt that they will achieve the goal. I want to thank the fans for driving to Sánchez-Pizjuán, where we have been very strong this year. It’s nice to play there. I wish Sevilla all the luck in the world and I leave a big hug for the adorable Sevilla fans. Jorge Sampaoli”, signed the former Sevilla coach.
