Navratilova, after beating cancer: “I thought I wouldn’t make it to last Christmas”

Date:

tennis legend Martina Navratilova66, has claimed to be cancer-free nearly four months after announcing she was diagnosed with throat and breast cancer.

The Czech-American, who has won a total of 59 Grand Slam singles and doubles titles and is considered one of the best of all time, said in January that the cancer was at stage 1.

“As far as they (the doctors) know, I don’t have cancer,” he said in an excerpt from an interview for TalkTV to be broadcast later in its entirety.

“I still need some radiation to the right breast, but only for a few weeks and it’s more preventative than anything else,” she explained.

The cancer was discovered in November last year. Navratilova was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. The second time, she was able to beat the cancer.

She struggled, admitting that when she learned the diagnosis in November, “I panicked for days thinking I wouldn’t make it to Christmas.”

“The things that I should do, everything that I still want to do came into my mind. It may be very superficial, but I said to myself: What luxury car would I really want to drive if I lived for a year?”, he declared.

This is the first effect, before starting the treatment.
