Lazio have banned three fans from attending any game at the Olimpico stadium for life because of their anti-Semitic behavior during Sunday’s derby against Roma which ended in a 1-0 win for ‘laziale’.
Authorities analyzed security camera footage to identify a fan wearing a Lazio shirt with the name ‘Hitlerson’ and the number 88, a reference to the ‘Heil Hitler’ salute, at the aforementioned match.
Two other supporters were also banned from Olímpivo for performing the ‘Roman salute’, which is associated with fascism.
Lazio announced that the three fans had shown “forms of discrimination and anti-Semitism” and adopted the sanctions after receiving their data from the police.
