The most emotional moment came in the posthumous tribute to internationals associated with Madrid who died last year, Amancio Amaro, Marcos Alonso and José Luis Pérez Plaza. Butragueno and AdelardoInstitutional Director of Real Madrid and President of the Atlético de Madrid Foundation, respectively, accompanied the families of the three internationals in collecting their diplomas and shirts at the Dorsal de Leyendas.
Two of the internationals present at the event expressed their feelings on the matter in front of the RFEF microphones. Juanfran Torres He highlighted the “happy moments” that were remembered, after long service in both the lower and senior categories. For his part, Jose Antonio Camacho expressed the feeling of “brotherhood” of those present. “The National Team tends to unite rivals: when you get here, you walk through the door, they become teammates and stop being rivals; and there is nothing better than deeds like this to prove it” .
