“Route 091” in the Canary Islands: Police launched a race of unity

Date:

The National Police presented this Tuesday the first edition in Gran Canaria of its racial solidarity “Ruta 091”, which will be held in Maspalomas, with the aim of raising funds for APEM, an association that has helped people suffering from multiple sclerosis since 1992.

“Route 091” consists of a series of races organized by the National Police in different cities in Spain and the benefits are always allocated to charitable works that help the poorest.

The race, which will have two circular modalities of one and five kilometers, will start and finish at the Maspalomas lighthouse.

At the end of the race, there will be an exhibition of police means, including canine handlers, air means or prevention and reaction units.

All those who wish to comply with the ages established for the different categories can register, in a process that can be completed on the website www.ruta091.es.

The term is now open and will remain available until the maximum quota of 800 places is filled.

An optional registration called “dorsal cero” will also be enabled for those who wish to cooperate in solidarity with a pre-established monetary value of ten euros.

The numbers and the technical shirt of Route 091 will be delivered with the runner’s bag on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 May during the opening hours to the public at the Decathlon store in Telde; and on Thursday 4 and Friday 5, in the morning (10:00 am to 1:00 pm) and afternoon (5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) in an exhibitor set up at the Maspalomas lighthouse.

The price will be twelve euros and the money raised will go to the APEM Las Palmas association (Provincial Association of Multiple Sclerosis).
