Van Aert, after almost being hit by a truck: “I’m still alive, but I could die”

According to bakelantswhen they were going down the road they heard the horn of a concrete mixer truck, whose driver also told them not to go in the bike lane, an attitude that Bakelants explained as follows: “As befits a true highway pirate, the driver of the concrete mixer closed the door while honking”, Van Aert had to change his path to avoid being run over.

Already in a press conference and given the popularity that the event has achieved, Van Aert himself wanted to explain: “These are incidents that unfortunately happen almost every day on the road. I have received many messages of -concern, even from my wife, who thought I was about to be run over at this very moment. All these messages were in vain. I’m still alive!”, he concluded.
