The Augusta Masters Green Jacket is one of the most recognizable symbols of professional golf in the world. This apparel represents the values not only of the club, but of golf at the highest level. It is certainly the most coveted item by golfers around the world, as it is exclusively awarded to first-time winners grand slam of the calendar.
This jacket began to be used in 1937 by members of the Augusta National Golf Club. The reason why the members started wearing this outfit is that, at that time, they were responsible for each hole, therefore they needed a dress that differentiated them from the rest of the public present at the competition.
