Anti-violence will enter ex officio for the complaint against Valverde

Date:

The National Anti-Violence Commission will meet on Monday, April 17, to review Fede Valverde’s attack on Alex Baena, as long as the National Police forwards the complaint filed yesterday by the Villarreal player after the punch he gave him in the Santiago Bernabéu car park after Madrid-Villarreal. The medical side of the injury and the police report itself will be appreciated.

From there, two more scenarios could be opened in the existing criminal proceedings that were opened after Baena’s complaint and where, depending on the extent of the damage, it could be a simple fine or something more serious.

There is the path of the Anti-Violence Commission itself and the possible consequences if you decide to step in before a police complaint is lodged. Article 2 of the Law against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport in Article 2, in the section on Violent acts or behavior or inciting violence in sport includes:

“Active participation in disputes, fights, brawls or public disorder in sports venues, in their surroundings or in the vehicles arranged to go to them, when such behaviors are related to a sport being held, is celebrated or is celebrated”

Then there are possible proposals for sanctions from the Commission that will follow from an economic point of view. From 150 to 3,000 euros in case of minor violations; from 3,000 to 60,000 for serious offences; and from 60,000 to 650,000 in the case of very serious violations.

This Tuesday, the deadline for him to denounce Villarreal before the end of the Competition Committee. But not in the case of Antiviolence, which may do so in the coming weeks. In that case, an extraordinary procedure will be opened with an investigating judge who will make a penalty proposal. Here the Real Madrid player can be exposed to a very serious or serious penalty that can lead to disqualification.
