Real Betis’ new sports city, located in Dos Hermanas, will bear the name of Rafael Gordillo, as the Verdiblanco club announced on Thursday.
On a day where the media was informed of how the sports city construction project was progressing, the first phase of which should be completed next June, its name was the most newsworthy. Gordillo is currently president of the Real Betis Foundation and continues to be a symbol of the entity.
Betis currently has two major projects underway, the construction of the sports city and also the remodeling of the Benito Villamarín, which will mean finishing the field, putting a roof on it and using the attached land for commercial and recreational purposes , before the agreement with the city council.
