He masters champion He closed the tournament with four rounds of 72, 64, 69 and 68 and was five shots behind the leaders, Americans Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay, who completed 11 holes in the final round and were both at -16.
Jon Rahm, who committed to play this tournament despite the fatigue he accumulated last week at the Masters, finished with a round of 68 with three birdies, on holes 2, 15 and 18, and no mistakes. He bid farewell to the tournament with loud applause as he headed to the 18th hole.
“The first day was difficult, but then I recovered. After last week, I was surprised by how well I played and the support from the public. I’m living a two-week story,” said Rahm at the end.
