This Thursday is a new meeting of patronage of women’s clubs including five unions who are at the negotiating table for the new collective agreement: FUTPRO, AFE, Futbolistas ON, UGT and CCOO.
A new appointment where a new salary proposal for category players is on the table. As MD learned, the clubs are willing to reduce the length of the agreement from the initial proposal from five to four years. But they also increase the amount they can reach in the final year of the deal scheduled for the 2025-2026 season. They come with a minimum salary of 20,000 euros with 100% dedication.
The proposal is based on the viability of the competition and the 16 clubs that make up this professional competition. The former one of the clubs went through a five-year agreement, until 2026-2027, with the following progressive growth: 16,000; 17,500; 19,000; 19,500 and 20,000. This new measure represents an increase in this amount from a season ago.
We can see why this proposal was initially far from what was announced by the union that has the second largest presence at the negotiating table after FUTPRO. It is about the AFE that at the beginning of this month of April, and as a consequence of the last meeting, made public its position and the other unions that passed the salary of 20,000 euros for this 2022-2023 campaign (the agreement will be retroactive ) and 25,000 euros for the 2023-2024 season.
Difference regarding the duration of the agreement
In addition, there is a difference regarding the duration of the agreement because the unions are betting on its duration of two years (2022-2023 and 2023-2024), because they understand that this is when they will sit again. to study the growth of professional competition that has just been born in terms of audiovisual, commercial rights, etc…
We will see what comes out of this new meeting for an immediate agreement for the women’s professional league after the meeting held by the unions this afternoon before the meeting that will take place this Thursday at noon at the CSD headquarters.
