Pep Guardiola did not hesitate to praise Kevin DeBruyne and Erling Haaland after his superb performance against Arsenal. The City coach spoke of an “extraordinary” connection to define the society made up of both footballers.
“Erling (Haaland) is an incredible threat. The way we played the last few seasons with the false nine was completely different, but the connection between Kevin (De Bruyne) and Erling is extraordinary and we try to use it as much as possible”, commented the Catalan after the meeting on BT Sports.
Guardiola also emphasized the concentration of his players and the hunger with which they jumped onto the field. “Whether defensive or offensive, from the first minutes we were incredibly focused. And the boys responded in an incredible way in a very important match”, he added.
“In the last two months, shown by the playersas they have shown in the past, that all parties began to win“, Guardiola congratulated himself, not wanting to raise the bells on the quick confirmation of the Premier title.
“I think the next three games (Fulham, West Ham and Leeds) will be decisive. If we manage to do what we have to do, we will be very close (to the crown) because we are also two games behind. But the the reality now we are still two points behind ArsenalSo it’s still game after game and we’ll see.”
