Reyes has a statue in Utrera

The former footballer Jose Antonio Reyeswho died in a traffic accident on June 1, 2019, has had a statue since this Friday at urethrahis town, where the City Council wants to remember the figure of one of the best footballers in Spanish football and the best quality player from the youth academy Seville.

The president and vice president of the Andalusian entity, José Castro and José María del Nido Carrascowas present at the inauguration of the monument, conducted by the same author who conducted one of the Anthony Gate which commands the entrance to the sports city of Seville and is located on Avenida de Consolación, in front of the entrance to the San Juan Bosco stadium, where Utrera CF plays and where the late footballer took his first steps.

Reyes, former Sevilla, Real Madrid and Atlético playeramong others, died in a traffic accident in the town of Alcalá de Guadaira when he was returning from Almendralejo from training with the last team of his career, the Extremadura. In the accident, a cousin of the soccer player also died on the spot and another suffered burns on 60% of his body.
