A 25-year-old Swedish car salesman and Manchester City fan named Lukas Uhlback has put an organization of UEFA and also to Bayern Munich. The boy slipped into the mixed zone of the Allianz Arena after Bayern-City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and, without anyone stopping him, he managed to get close to his idols and take a photo.
After the game, Lukas, a devoted City fan, wanted to hold one of the players’ jerseys. He discovered an entrance into the bowels of the stadium and ended up in the middle of the mixed zone, where Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji was interviewed. “I tried to go with all the confidence in myself, I had drunk a couple of beers and it was perfect. I felt that I have to do something,” he explained to ‘Expressen’ this week.
His unexpected presence in the press area angered UEFA, the organizer of the tournament, which sent an e-mail to Bayern Munich to demand explanations. How could an ordinary spectator enter a place reserved for players and journalists? “We are contacting Bayern, which is responsible for security and controlling who accesses which areas, to see if this is the result of a breach of regulations (if someone accessed without accreditation or found/using other people)”, writes UEFA.
