After thirty years at the helm of Galibier Sports Association, its president Manolo Azcona, who helped jump to professionalism in more than sixty cyclists, gave all the responsibility Juanjo Oroz. A time in which, in addition, he was able to fulfill his dream of having his own professional team that shelters young talents: the Kern Pharma Team.
“It’s been many years in the trenches and the time has come for me to rest. Even if I stop on a daily basis, I will continue to be next to the team giving my support”, he explained. Manolo Azcona. “Cycling is my hobby and I feel lucky to have enjoyed 30 years in a structure where I have lived enjoyable moments. We are a benchmark group during my time as director and, despite going through difficult situation, it will continue,” he added.
Juanjo Oroz, General Manager and from now on the new Chief Executive Officer, thanks Azcona on behalf of the entire Kern Pharma Team for his enormous dedication over the years: “There is no doubt that without him we would not have reached this point. He taught us a lot and to think that he is always with me to advise me based on his experience gives me peace of mind”.
New direction of pharmaceutical structure
At the same time, the leader of the Kern Pharma Team emphasizes the new direction the pharmaceutical structure is taking: “We are competing with the elite and it is our duty to prepare ourselves to compete at the highest level. In this project we have two great formations: the Finisher Team, which constantly takes care of the quarry, and the Kern Pharma Team, which requires us to give our best version every day. That’s why we want to be true to our philosophy and thus get as high as possible. We are born from the base and we believe that to go far we need to unite and work as a team. With the support of a company like Kern Pharma we can achieve this”.
