The Argentinian Diego Schwartzman fell removed this Thursday at first round of the Masters 1,000 in Romeafter surrendering to the Italian Matteo Arnaldi in three sets, for 6-1, 4-6 and 6-3.
That’s why the ‘little’ Schwartzman extended his losing streak after also falling in the first round at the Master 1,000 in Madrid and the ‘challenger’ in Cagliari. He could do nothing against Arnaldi before the massive start of the venue, surrounded by his audience at the Foro Italico, in a set that lasted half an hour, the shortest of the match.
The Argentine reacted in the second round, winning 6-4 after taking serve from the Italian in the tenth game, extending the battle to the third set where again, the ‘small’ was inferior, giving the two services that perished in their participation in the contest. Arnaldi will face his countryman Lorenzo Musetti in the second round.
