A new international championship sponsored by the FIM starts this weekend in Tarragona: the FIM E-Xplorer. A World Cup with fully electric and off-road motorcycles in which mixed teams consisting of two pilots, a man and a woman, compete. Off Road legends such as James Stewart, FIM E-Xplorer ambassador, and Robbie Madison have joined the initiative that combines fun and respect for the environment and both own their own teams (SEVEN and Maddwill). Madison will even compete as a driver on his own team.
A total of 5 appointments will be held in this first season. The first will be held this weekend in Catalonia, at Polea Camp, the historic location of the Bultaco family. The action starts on Friday the 12th with the first free practice while the highlight comes on Saturday the 13th with qualifying practice that will establish the order for the final stage: quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. This final stage will start at 2:00 pm and end with the podium ceremony at 4:15 pm The following tests that will complete the calendar will be held in Switzerland, France, the United States and Asia.
In the FIM E-Xplorer, men and women will compete at the same time and on equal terms. A total of 8 mixed teams will participate in this international competition, always consisting of two pilots, one male and one female. In all of them, Fanatics will be composed of two drivers who have achieved the honor of taking part among professional drivers and motorsport legends through a RRSS contest of the championship, another innovative FIM E-Xplorer initiative.
