Granada visit Mallorca this Saturday in a crucial clash for the permanent option of both teams in LaLiga Santander with good precedents behind them, since he has only lost one of the last ten official games he has played against the vermilion team.
Five wins by rojiblancas, four draws and one loss are the balance of ten clashes between the two teams since 1984, the year in which the islanders beat Granada (5-0) at the old Lluís Sitjar Stadium, in Mallorca’s last win so far at home against the Andalusians.
From then until now, Mallorca’s only success came in Nuevo Los Cármenes in the 2012-13 campaign (1-2), while the balance in Palma is two draws and the number of wins for Granada.
The team now led by Aitor Karanka has done well in Mallorca in the latest stage, with four wins and a draw in their last five meetings.
Granada’s visits to Son Moix have always ended in red-and-white joy, ever since Three seasons ago (1-1) the Andalusians celebrated their promotion to the First Division there, while two courses ago they achieved 1-2 victories that brought them very close to qualifying for the first time in their history to play European competition.
Besides, against the first round of this campaign, Granada achieved the best result of the current season with a 4-1 win through a hat-trick by Jorge Molina, while another Atletico goal was scored by Antonio Puertas and the goal for Mallorca was scored by Dani Rodríguez.
