The Chilean Nicholas Jarry achieved one of the most deserved victories of his career by defeating the fourth player in the world and champion of the last two editions, the Norwegian Casper Ruudfirst favorite, to reach the semifinals of the tournament Geneva.
Jarry, 54 in the world, with two titles behind him, including the one achieved in his hometown, Santiago, this year, the European tennis player, whom he defeated in Seoul last year, on hard courts, in the single it’s been a long time since they met until now.
Jarry won 3-6 7-6 (2) 7-5 after two and a half hours, recording his fifth career win against a player ranked in the world’s top ten.
