After the announcement of Tyson Fury in his proposal launched at Anthony Joshua for the two to meet in the September bout in the UK, the promoter eddie hearn was assured by IFL TV that Joshua has yet to formally receive Fury’s requestso right now the positions for the match to take place seem far off.
As Hearn reported, Joshua did not receive that request from Fury and, therefore, He plans his year without considering the possible match against his English countryman. Therefore, Joshua plans to fight in August against an opponent to be determined before facing Deontay Wilder in December.
Hearn made sure Joshua had serious doubts about accepting that request from Fury because he didn’t like the way the latter and Usyk’s last fight was handled. So, although there is time for Fury and Joshua to reconcile, it seems that for now the positions are far apart between them for the battle to take place.
