The Volta in the Valencian Community (VCV) of 2024, which will celebrate its 75th anniversary that year, It will be held from January 31 to February 4 as reported by the Professional Cycling Union (UCI).
The general manager of the event, former cyclist Ángel Casero, presented himself “proud to continue the legacy of a cycling round with the history of the Volta a la Comuniat Valenciana“, the oldest sport currently held in the lands of Valencia.
“We want to be one of the first stages of the tour in the international cycling calendar. In the past, it has been shown that many of the first swords of the international peloton will choose the VCV to start their seasons, and also the climate on the dates that. in the Counitat Valenciana is one of the few that allows the practice of cycling throughout Europe,” said the director of the Valencian round.
“We still cannot confirm the departure or arrival locations of any stagebut we strive to offer Valencian cycling fans the attractive route they deserve”, added Casero.
The Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana will celebrate, in 2024, 75 editions. The first of these was held in 1929, but various stops due to war conflicts or economic reasons were made the following year when the 75th anniversary of the event was celebrated.
