Some players from ChelseaFC Barcelona’s rival this Saturday in the semi-final of the Champions League to be held at Montjuïc, ended in tension with others from Manchester United as a result of the match played by both teams on the 14th equivalent to the ‘semi’ of the FA Cup and in which the ‘red’ team was victorious. The English internationals from both teams clashed on the field and unfollowed each other on social media.
It all happened before halftime. After Lucía García and Rachel Williams had put United 2-0 ahead, Lauren James responded with a goal that put them in the game and, in an attempt to win the ball back to quickly restart the match, the forward grabbed her head with his arm at Millie Turner, a United defender trying to avoid him.
Turner played down the situation but posted a photo of James holding his head on his Instagram, among other photos, with the caption ‘KAMMOONNNN’ (Come on!). As a result, some social media users discovered that James stopped following Turner, Toone and goalkeeper Mary Earps, the three internationals and James’ teammates.
