The DP World Tour (formerly the European Circuit) stops this week at the Green Eagle Golf courses in Hamburg, Germany, for the European Open, a tournament that distributes two million dollars in prizes and in which there will be about twelve Spanish golfers : Jorge Campillo, Adri Arnaus, Rafa Cabrera, Santiago Tarrio, Ángel Hidalgo, Nacho Elvira, Sebastián García Rodríguez, Alejandro del Rey, Alfredo García Heredia and Emilio Cuartero.
The tournament can be seen live on Golf on Movistar+. Broadcasts will begin this Thursday, June 1, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the same slots where the second round will air on Friday 2. The weekend will be from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm again fourth and last of Week 3.
Note that this appointment is the last in a series of four events that closes the mini-ranking on the European Tour and that qualifies for the US Open in Los Angeles, in mid-June. The two players who have accumulated the most points between the Opens in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and now Germany, and have not yet qualified for the third ‘major’ of the season, will get their exemption. There are three Spaniards who still have options: Jorge Campillo, Santi Tarrio and Ángel Hidalgo. Mathematically, everyone has a chance to qualify for the US Open, although the four have nothing to do but win and wait for what two players will do: Romain Langasque and Simon Forsstrom, the golfers currently occupying the two spots that.
