The driver of the van was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed using hydraulic rescue equipment. Despite the prompt help, all help came too late for him.
The driver of the truck had to be freed from the vehicle cabin by the fire brigade in collaboration with the Red Cross and taken to hospital. The work at the scene of the accident and the recovery of the vehicles will take even longer.
