The 2023 Repsol Honda outfit has been a nightmare in the form of multiple crashes for the Mallorcan rider who is usually not one of the top of the crash lists throughout the season and who this year at Repsol Honda only got six GGPP added that’s as much falling as in his entire rookie year. In the one this Friday that left him in the game at Mugello there were 12.
Even if the arrival of the Kalex chassis did not inspire Honda, it was a panacea for the brave two-time champion who at Termas de Río Hondo had already lost the race on Sunday after injuring himself in the Sprint last Saturday. So far this season Mir has only scored points in one race, the initial one at Portimao, eleventh, so just five points in total.
