Maikel Mesa, Real Zaragoza’s first signing for his eleventh Segunda project

The midfielder from Tenerife Michael Mesa became the first signatory of Real Zaragozaa in his new project in what is his eleventh season in the Second Division and is committed to the next two seasons.

Michael Mesa (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1991) came to the Zaragoza team from Albacete, a team where he had a great season and where he played 41 games and scored 9 goals, Maño club has reported.

The new blanquillo player made his debut in the First Division with Osasuna in the 2012-13 season, aged just 21, and from there he went on loan to Racing de Ferrol to return with the rojillos and achieve promotion in the First Division in the 2015-16 campaign, in one who played 18 games and scored three goals.

After Osasuna, he defended the shirts of Mirandés and Nástic de Tarragona, where he scored six and eight goals respectively.

After passing through the city of Tarragona, his new destination was UD Las Palmas, a team where he was captain and where he played a total of 87 games in three and a half seasons, although in between he was on loan at Albacete de by.

The Aragonese team highlights that with the La Mancha team they showed maturity in football which they describe as “the key” to face a category like LaLiga SmartBank.

In LaLiga SmartBank he is a veteran player with a total of 226 in several seasons and among them eight games were promoted to the First Division.
