Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), two-time Formula One world champion, indicated that they would be “on the radar” in case of rain over the weekend in Montreal at the Canadian Grand Prix, eighth round of the Formula One World Championship.
Alonso indicated that the one in Montreal is a “historic circuit” of the World Cup of which he keeps “good memories”and where last year he started “second on the grid after a messy and wet qualifying session”.
“It could rain again this weekend, so we’ll keep an eye on the radar“, he indicated in the statements shared by his team, where he recalled that Aston Martin was able to leave the tests in Monaco and Spain with 32 points as a team despite the fact that they had “a difficult Saturday ” at the Catalunya circuit and in the test they did not have “enough speed to put on a show for the fans”.
Alonso is currently in third place overall in the World Cup, with 99 pointsRed Bull was only surpassed by Dutchman Max Verstappen (170) and Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez (117).
