1. Ducati excellence.
On a circuit that in the past has been a nightmare for Italian bikes -they haven’t won there since 2008-, in today’s race they not only won, but also placed seven of their bikes in the top ten. Dall’Igna and his engineers created a perfect machine.
2. Martin’s confidence level.
Race by race, without noise, the Team Pramac rider adds up and positions himself to face the fight for the title. He has been the most consistent in the championship and that means he is second in the provisional standings.
3. Super overtaking by Martin.
The Sachsenring is a mousetrap track, where overtaking points are what they are. But Jorge Martín invented one of the most critical points of the circuit where he passed Bagnaia and Miller in an instant to become the leader of the race… Unbelievable!
4. The three waterfalls of Márquez.
Marc took to the track this morning determined to reclaim his throne at the Sachsenring: he fell three times in 30 minutes. A sequence that clearly means that in the race he will ‘take his foot off the accelerator’.
5. Yamaha goes backwards.
Last year, Yamaha won the Sachsenring with Fabio Quartarao leading second by 5s. This time the first of the Iwata factory motorcycles came in 13th, 11 seconds behind Martín. If Honda has technical problems, Yamaha is not far behind… Excellent.
