Sevilla presented Víctor Orta as their new sporting director, a position he reached with the demanding challenge of replacing Monchi, who left office to respond to Unai Emery’s call at Aston Villa.
The man from Madrid, who arrived after a three-year spell at Leeds, made sure that he was excited about the project and that it was what he wanted, to return to a club where he spent seven years, from 2006 to 2013.
“Anyone who comes to work at Sevilla FC is at the best moment of their professional career. This is the club where I want to work. The new sports director started by praising the squad. “This is a squad that emerged champions. It was a great success, and what is needed is to renew that success.
