4-1: Japan stunned Peru on the counterattack

Date:

The Japanese team defeated the Peruvian team 4-1 today in a friendly match where the ‘Blue Samurai’ once again showed their dizzying football and took advantage of the gaps and mistakes of a very fragile Bicolor in defense.

The match played in Suita, Osaka, is the second of Peru’s Asian tour, after defeating South Korea on Friday at home, 0-1, while the Japanese enter the match after beating El Salvador 6-0 on Thursday .

Japanese coach Hajime Moriyasu left the wingers on the bench Bring the Hut and Ristu Doanresponsible for most of the offensive production in the big win over El Salvador.

Peru recovers from Lapadula

Peruvian coach Juan Reynoso, for his part, recovered from Gianluca Lapadula for the attack and introduced midfielders Christian Cueva and Sergio Peña from the startsubstitutes from the previous match.

Japan began to organize in defense and showed their main weapon, the speed and mobility of their attackers, when a less solid Peru than in the clash against South Korea left them gaps, and with Junya Ito very active on the right.

The first local notice came exactly of a counter attack led by Kamada and Mitoma in the 20th minute, which ended with Sugawara’s shot being cleared by an away defender.

Hiroki opened the scoring

Two minutes later, Hiroki Ito took advantage of the space left by the Peruvian center-backs to connect a powerful shot from outside the area and tight to Gallese’s right post to open the scoring.

Peru had a good chance to equalize in a play between Paolo Guerrero and Lapadula after a long ball from the defence, but the Cagliari striker sent his shot just wide to the left of the Japan goalkeeper.

Mitoma marks the second

The locals were able to extend their advantage with another quick counterattack by Kamad’s brainand finished through Mitoma, who cut through one defender and got the unintended help of another, whose shot bounced into the middle of the goal.

La Bicolor strongly opposed the referee’s decision cancel out a goal by Lapadul for a strict offsidea, endorsed after consulting the VAR before the end of the first half.

Reynoso Christopher González, Édison Flores and Pedro Aquino were introduced at halftime looking for more freshness and offensive bite, and Peru began to have more of the ball and hang around the Japanese area in the first section of the second half.

Japan ruled another match

But the ‘Blue Samurai’, withdrawn, continued to disrupt the counter attack and again punished Peru in this way. Mitoma received a long ball down the left, where he was alone, and put a pass into the area Junya Ito so he has time to control and shoot before Galleseleaving the match doomed after minute 60.

Peru brushed aside the goal with a long shot from Yotún that was poisoned after touching a defender and forced the Japanese goalkeeper to make an acrobatic save.

Fourth of the ‘samurais’ and Peru saves the honor

The vitality of the Japanese, renewed by the entry of men like Kubo or Doan, He continued in the final period to punish Peru’s defence, who also lost the ball near their goal which Maeda took advantage of to score the fourth.

The Bicolor achieved the goal of honor through Christofer Gonzales, who chased down a ball cleared by the Japanese defense to connect a left-footed shot into the net from the center of the area.
