Red Bull Ring renewed in F1 until 2030

Both parties agreed to a four-year extension, until 2027, last March and have now extended the agreement for three years.

CEO of Formula One Stefano Domenicalisaid the latest extension is a tribute to the “vision and passion” of the Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitzpassed away in October.

“The Austrian race is a favorite of the drivers and all our fans, and we look forward to many years of excitement and action,” he added in a statement.

Sunday’s announcement puts Austria ahead of other European circuits in terms of contract longevity and roughly on a par with some of F1’s most lucrative neo-events such as Bahrain, which has a contract until 2036, Melbourne until 2035 , Saudi Arabia. and Qatar until 2032, Miami until 2031 and Abu Dhabi until 2030.

Spielberg first appeared on the F1 calendar with the original Osterreichring circuit from 1970 to 1987, before moving to the A1-Ring from 1997 to 2003, and its current stint as the Red Bull Ring, which returned in 2014 with the support of Red Bull co -founder Dietrich Mateschitz after an 11-year absence.

Red Bull has won every race so far and nine in a row, including the last in 2022. The team of double world champion Max Verstappen and Mexican Sergio Pérez celebrated their 100th Formula One victory in Canada last month. .
