Scottie Scheffler has extended his lead over Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy at the top of the world golf rankings after a week in which the first on the list did not participate in the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, where the American Rickie Fowler won.
Scheffler tops the world list with an average of 12.16 points, compared to Rahm’s 10.00 and McIlroy’s 9.21.who also has a solid lead over his pursuers, American Patrick Cantlay (7.40) and Norwegian Victor Hovland (6.54).
The only change to the ‘top 10’ was the promotion to eighth place of North American Max Homa, who overtook Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick.
Pablo Larrazábal continues in position 56Adrián Otaegui at 89 and Adri Arnaus left the ‘top 100’ and dropped to 105.
