“Now we are focused on our home race at Silverstone. It’s always great to drive on this historic circuit,” said Alonso, who achieved two of his 32 F1 victories at this track: in 2006, when he retained the title; and in 2011.
“I’ve been to (the team’s) technological campus this week and every time I go I’m impressed, in a place where it’s fun to work; which constitutes a declaration of principles with a view to the future of the team”, pointed out the genius from Asturias -also World Resistance Champion (WEC), with Toyota- in reference to his new team.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do just across the road, in front of the British fans this weekend,” Alonso said before the British Grand Prix.
