MetLife Stadium and Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta are on the list of stadiums that will host the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup next year, according to the announcement held this Saturday in New York.
Lumen Field in Seattle, Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Audi Field in Washington DC, GEODIS Park in Nashville and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia complete the list of twelve places of the new Club World Cup, which will be held from June 15 to July 13 with 32 participating teams of particular prominence in the Eastern United States.
12 European teams
The tournament has been expanded from seven to 32 teams and its inaugural edition will have two Spanish representatives, Real Madrid and Atlético, among the 12 European teams, in addition to Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter, Juventus , Porto, Benfica , Borussia Dortmund and Salzburg.
In the presence of its presidentthe Swiss Gianni InfantinoFIFA announced the tournament venues in an event organized during the Global Citizen Festival, a charity concert that, through celebrities and activists, aims to demand measures against extreme poverty from world leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
