He International Union of Soccer Players (FIFPRO) announced the commitment to create a centralized platform for the management of player data which meets their need for control use, application and exploitation them in the workplace or outside of it.
Among the goals of this initiative is to centralize personal data throughout the football career; manage and control the application or use of personal data for specific purposes such as training and performance management, match operations, employment and commercial matters; allow the creation of a database for the entire industry, dedicated to players; and ensure data management and protection in the workplace.
“As this is a first step to give action to players who provide data and create an ecosystem in the markets, it is important to enable a robust dialogue between industry stakeholderswhich establishes the foundation for the integration and management of advanced innovation and technology in the football industry,” the entity concluded in a statement.
