He International Olympic Committee (IOC) will not include Russia and Belarus in the list of invitations it will send on July 26 to all the world’s national Olympic committees to participate ins Paris 2024 Games.
Although athletes from the same country, which was allowed after the invasion of Russia in Ukraine as of February 2022, they have returned to most competitions under a neutral flag, the IOC will make a decision on their participation in the Games “in due course”.
But since the deadline for sending invitations is on the 26th, a year after the opening of the Games, the IOC is yet to issue invitations. Russia and belarusreported this Thursday.
It will also not send the invitation to Guatemalan Olympic Committeewhich is suspended.
