Juventus has started the procedure to leave the European Super League project. In its statement, the Turin club specified that its withdrawal would only be effective if it previously received consent from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, a only two clubs still involved in the project.
Juventus announced on June 6, 2023 the start of talks with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona to review their proposal to leave the Super League.
Now the Turin club communicates that “after these discussions, and taking into account some differences in the interpretation of the agreements applicable to the Super League Project, Juventus confirms that it has started the exit procedure from the aforementioned Project, remembering that, in accordance with the applicable contractual provisions, for the withdrawal to take effect, the prior consent of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and the other clubs involved in the Super League Project is required”.

Juventus’ announcement came after the agreement reached with UEFA in recent days to be excluded from the 2023-2024 Conference League, in exchange for being able to participate in European competitions already in season, was revealed. 2024-2025, as a result of the ‘capital gains case’, which cost him 10 penalty points in Serie A last year.
