Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar was transferred to a hospital in the Netherlands, but remains in intensive care after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage last week, as the former footballer’s wife Annemarie explained.
Van der Sar, 52, who was admitted to a Split hospital while on vacation in Croatia, will remain in the intensive care unit at the Dutch hospital but is stable and safe from harm right away
“It was Edwin return to the country of origin from Croatia on Friday night and is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital in the Netherlands,” said Annemarie, in statements released by Ajax Amsterdam, the club where Van der Sar was director until recently.
“His situation remains the same: stablewithout his life in danger, and with capacity talk. The Van der Sar family would like to express their deep gratitude to ‘Split University Hospital’ for its excellent care over the past week,” Ajax explained in its statement.
