Arnaiz gives victory to Osasuna against Huesca (1-0)

Osasuna won their second preseason friendly on Tuesday, at the expense of Huesca (1-0), thanks to a goal from José Arnaiz after a resounding mistake by the goalkeeper of the Huesca team.

The Navarrese team faced the first serious test of the preseason against a Huesca that began to prepare for the new year in the Second Division.

The team from Huesca gave the first warning. In the 3rd minute, Tresaco scored with the help of Escriche, but the referee signaled offside. On the Navarrese side, Chimy Ávila raced over the post after hitting the ball without thinking with his left foot a few minutes later.

The first goal of the match came in the 65th minute after a serious mistake by Álvaro Fernández. The goalkeeper from La Rioja was unable to stop a nice lateral cross from Peña and Arnaiz, very attentive, rounded off the goalkeeper’s unfortunate action in the net.

Cameroonian Soko armed himself with his leg around the turn to execute a volley that deflected off the crossbar. Except on that occasion, the people of Huesca did not take too much risk for the welfare of the locals.

In the end, the score did not budge and Osasuna have continued to be sweet this summer, something they will look to extend on Friday in Irún against Real Sociedad in their most demanding test of the month.
