Kochorashvili and the defense support Levante

Date:

Levante, with the only goal scored by the Georgian Girogi Kochorashvili and a good defense, won 0-1 at the Cartagonova stadium and, thus, stands as the temporary leader of LaLiga Hypermotion with seven points which added, as Levante Cartagena continues without scoring, accumulating three defeats at the beginning of the championship.

The match that opened the third day of the league in the Second Division was faced by Efesé with three important casualties -Pedro Alcalá, Iván Calero and Luis Muñoz- and three players from the youth academy with Víctor Sánchez del Amo in the black and white eleven – Carlos Sánchez, Jony Álamo and Iván Ayllón-, in addition to the newcomer José Fontán, who formed the axis of defense with Gonzalo Verdú, who made his debut this season after overcoming some discomfort he was suffering from during the preseason.

[+] Watch the match summary:

At Levante, Javier Calleja made just one change from the team he fielded in a 3-2 win over Burgos Club de Fútbol: Kochorashvili replaced Ángel Algobia.

In the first minute, two fans remembered the remaining president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) – “Rubiales, go now!” they shouted – and the first quarter of an hour was played without a clear dominator and without dangerous shots.

In the 16th minute Alfredo Ortuño did not control the ball well when he was left one-on-one with Joan Femenías and in the next three minutes Levante could have taken the lead. A good shot from Álex Cantero was met by Marc Martínez’s clearance and then Gonzalo Verdú deflected a shot from Korchorashvili to make it 0-1.

The reply was put in by Jony Álamo, whose shot missed the goal, and soon after Álex Cantero had the clearest chance until then. Marc Martínez, using his left leg, denied him a goal in a one on one game that was more dynamic.

The quality of the Granotas -now in blue- was appreciated in the 25th minute and resulted in a goal scored by Kochorashvili who took advantage of a good pass from Álex Cantero in a transition play and luckily his shot hit Gonzalo Verdú and That upset Marc Martínez.

Alfredo Ortuño, in the 38th minute, sent a dangerous shot into the hands of the visiting goalkeeper and just before the break Jairo Izquierdo had no need for his shot from inside the area, so the two teams retired to the changing rooms with the lowest Valencian. income

At the start, after separate interventions by the goalkeepers -Marc Martínez against Andrés García and Femenías against Iván Ayllón- Damián Musto’s goal was disallowed due to a clear prior foul on Kochorashvili.

Iván Ayllón again came close to equalizing with a shot that went wide and after those moments of local harassment, Levante managed to cool off the match. Minutes passed in their favor and Cartagena and the defensive order of Calleja’s men led them to take control of the situation despite not having much possession of the ball.

The exchanges did not change the decoration and the Colombian striker Juanjo Narváez, another newcomer to Efesé, made his debut but without fame in his new team in a match where the supporters of Cartagena once again showed their absence of excellence and even in the nine minutes of time added to the 90 they were able to really threaten the rival in the last part of the match if the three headers were not included, two of them from Alfredo Ortuño and another from Isak Jansson. The first two were diverted and the third in the hands of Femenías.
