Mohammed Katir5,000 meters world runner-up in Budapest, The 1,500 Diamond League will run in Zurich (Switzerland) on August 31 to close the outdoor season before going on vacation for a few days.
“I will run to Zurich and rest. I want to do the 1,500 Spanish record but my legs are tired. I have two days off and I’m going to race in Switzerland. I will try to beat Jakob Ingebrigtsen and, if not, take a vacation,” said Katir, after the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
The Murcian athlete is the great Spanish reference in the midfielder. At the age of 25, he has four international medals which include the gold at this year’s European Games in Chorzow (Poland) in the 1,500, the silver in the 5,000 of the European Championship in Munich 2022 and the last World Cup in Budapest and the bronze in World Cup from Eugene (United States) in 2022, also in 1,500.
