Athletic announced yesterday the different work groups created this season in Lezama for the different teams in the lower categories, both at the female and male levels, starting with Juvenil B. The idea of the new managers of youth academy Bilbao club, according to what has been published from Ibaigane, is that in all the teams that go to fry there is no one specific coach, but several at the same time.
“Within the commitment of the Board of Directors and the sports management to develop Lezama, a strategic pillar of the AC Aurrera plan, the Athletic Club has taken a step forward in the professionalization of all the people who are with the rojiblancos that homegrown player on a day- to-day basis. Sports management optimizes resources to create an appropriate environment that helps youth players and coaches grow personally and professionally in accordance with the philosophy”, they pointed out from Lezama.
Athletic also explained that “from the cadets down, the Athletic Club associates its footballers with a complementary work group that combines various academic and football training to work on certain skills”.
Juvenil Nacional, in this way, will have Adrián Esteve and Iñigo López as coaches, Mikel Fernández as analyst, Sergio Fernández as goalkeeper coach, Álvaro Bujo as physical trainer and Jon Ramos as psychologist.
In male cadet teams A and B; the trainers are Joxean Álvarez, Ander Lafuente, Marcos Merino, Kevin Moreno and Iñaki Mujika and the psychologist Jon Ander Melchisidor.
Among the cadets and girls, the coaches are Josu Abarrategi, Naiara Barriga, Jon Lasuen and Julen Santiesteban and the psychologist Javier Garrido.
Regarding the boys’ A and B youth teams, the coaches are Mikel Badiola, Andoni Galiano, Galder Izaola, Unai Julián and Carlos Renau with the psychologist Marta Urionabarrenetxea.
Finally, in the male A and B juvenile teams, the coaches are Jose Manuel Moreno, Lander Torrealdai, Andima Undabeitia and Lander Urquijo.
