It added 1,000 world ranking points, with a benefit of 400 compared to 600 of the previous edition. He needs to reach the semi-finals in order not to deliver number 1 in Russian Daniel Medvedevtook the trophy.

As well as the economic check for 836,355 euros. A good bag, although still less than the edition before the coronavirus pandemic outbreak. In 2019, Rafa Nadal won 958,055 eurosin 2018 it reached 935,385.

Djokovic’s award is more like one from five editions ago, in 2017, when Zverev received a check for 825,035 euros.

The ATP uptrend was broken by covid. In 2020, in an edition held in September and without an audience, Djokovic won 205,200 euros. In 2021, with a quarter of capacity, Nadal received 245,085 euros.

The contests suffered badly. They are recovering the pulse of the economic endowment, although prioritizing the rise in previous stages and the opening of rounds with respect to the best regular reaches the most advanced and award-winning qualifying round.

The total financial commitment of Rome 2022, a tournament owned by the country’s tennis federation, is 6,008,723 euros, distributes 5,415,410 euros to tennis players.
