I want to thank everyone at KMC and KRT for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to prove myself at the highest level.. I’ve learned a lot and grown as a person and as a rider since the first day I rode the factory Ninja ZX-10R. Winning six consecutive WorldSBK championships will always be the highlight of my years at Kawasaki, but also the incredible memories, life lessons and laughter I will take with me into the future,” said the rider, who wanted to clarify that He is not going to spare no effort in the last few races.

And, of course, it is our mission to complete the 2023 season with as much energy and commitment as we have always shown.. Looking back on our journey today, I am proud of the joy and happiness we have brought to Kawasaki owners and fans around the world. It’s not a goodbye, because there are no family goodbyes, but it’s simply the end of this incredible chapter. I wish everyone at KRT the best of luck for the next chapters. See you at the track.”

Although there is no official confirmation, everything indicates that Rea will race next season on Yamahawhere he will replace Toprak Razgatlioglu, who is moving to BMW.

Rea’s time in WorldSBK began in 2008, as a wild card in Portimao (the first visit to the circuit) and achieved fourth place in Race 1 after starting from the front row.

A full-time ride with the Ten Kate Honda team awaited him in 2009, with whom he won at Misano, his first of 119 WorldSBK victories to date.
