The FIFA has published a global overview of international transfers (from June 1 to September 1, 2023). This document examines the signings of international players during the mid-2023 transfer window and shows historical figures in both women’s and men’s soccer.

About Women’s FootballEmilio García added the following: «The total number of transfers during the mid-year registration also has increased for the sixth consecutive year. 829 transfers were registered, of which 66 generated transfer costs. “Both figures set a new record, with an increase of 19.1% and 83.3% respectively.”

Europe It also leads in women’s football, registering 634 signings and 565 transferred players. In particular, Germany tops the list in signings made (55), while France occupies the first place in the number of transferred players, with a total of 53. Transfer costs in women’s football, which reached a historic figure of 2.8 million euros, more than doubled compared to the period of transfers in the middle of 2022.

Also, they have paid 647.8 million euros in agent fees during the mid-year transition, which represents a new record. So far, the total registered for 2023 reaches 793.2 million euros, that is, 36.9% more than in 2022, and more than in any other year.
