The Belgian cyclist Nathan Van Hooydonck (Jumbo-Visma)who suffered a serious car accident Tuesday, is “communicating and doing well, given the circumstances,” his team reported today.
“Nathan Van Hooydonck is talking and doing well, given the circumstances. He was very happy to know that (his teammate) Jonas (Vingegaard) won yesterday’s stage at the Vuelta and he was very touched by the fact that he dedicated his success,” said Jumbo-Visma on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
The 27-year-old cyclist’s vehicle was involved in an accident involving five vehicles around 8:30 in the morning in the town of Kalmthout.
