Festival of Speed… and acceleration too

The following days September 29 and 30 and October 1 will argue with Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunyaorganized by Escudería Targa Iberia, the eighth edition of Barcelona Festival of Speed​​​​ – María de Villota Legacyfinal test of the modality Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup powered by AWS.

This competition, Europe’s leader in gt racing, will be held on Sunday, October 1, in a single 3-hour race where three drivers will take turns behind the wheel of each participating car, nearly 50, representing nine brands. This competition will have free and scheduled practice sessions on the two previous days and on the 1st Sunday the classification (9:45 am) and the race (3 pm) will be held.

As an important sporting addition to the weekend, there will be two GT4 European Series powered by Rafa Racing Club competitions and two more McLaren Trophy Europe competitions, in both cases, as well as the Endurance Cup, which are title is at stake. And we can’t forget the amazing exhibition where Curbstone’s GT1 Sports Club will star.

Drag Race: maximum acceleration in a quarter mile

Amidst the competition and recreational activities, this year’s big finale show on Saturday will star the FLC Ultimate Drag Race or what is the same, the most brutal acceleration that the machines participating in this type of show that attracts hundreds of fans can perform. Lightning accelerations will take over the finish line portion of the circuita never-before-seen spectacle at this event that will feature incredible cars reaching record speeds in the quarter mile provided for this purpose.

All these participating machines, put together by Fuerza Libre Competimiento, organizer of the Drag and Accelerations championship in Spain, will be presented on Saturday, September 30 in an area near the paddock, known as the In-2 parking lots. Starting at 6:30 pm it’s their turn to squeeze the engines and tires in the FLC Ultimate Drag Race.

In the same location where the exhibition is located The Drag Race will also be at the McLaren Barcelona venue, with an exhibition and concentration of cars from the brand, in full harmony with almost identical machines facing each other on track in the McLaren Trophy Europe races.

Intense parallel activity

Quality on the track, but not on it either, is something that characterizes all Escudería Targa Iberia organizations. This time, the parallel activities will be numerous and distributed throughout the facility. Revamping the MOD·A·S concept of previous years, in 2023 the FLC Ultimate Expo will premiere, led by VolRace.

EMMA is dedicated to providing a neutral and trend-setting platform to promote and bring fans into the fascinating world of car audio installations.

Rossi, back to the Circuit

The Signing autographs for GT drivers is another important activity to consider.
